The archer fish is famous because it can shoot down insects
above the surface of the water with a drop of water. But more often this
fish jumps out of the water to catch its prey. It originally comes from
Indonesia, India, and the Philippines. It swims in groups and usually
eats insects. It lives in both fresh and brackish saltwater. It can grow
about 18 cm long and has a mouth like a goose. The archer fish has a
nice color with dark black bars.
